Crank Siezed

Recommended Posts

010' CRF250 Lower crank bearing went bad. What parts do I need to fix this? Can I replace the bearing and rod or the whole crank? Let me know. Thanks

well you could just replace the bearings and the rod. but that would mean you would have to bring the crank into a machine shop for them to replace the rod. In the long run its cheaper and quicker just to replace the whole crank/ rod with the bearings..

Until you inspect or have someone inspect if there was any other damage, there's no telling exactly what you need. I've seen some that just need the basic crankshaft, bearings, gaskets and seals. I've seen others that needed cylinder, piston, oil pump, cases, etc. along with the crank, bearings and other normal parts it would take. It's not that easy to tell until it's broken down.
