Q Stealth Sound Test

Hey everyone, this weekend I installed a FMF Q-Stealth silencer on my 06 KX250. The primary reason is because I'm a tinnitus sufferer (constant ringing in ears) and I'd like the bike to be as quiet as possible. I took some measurements before and after at the exit and the approximate ear level of the rider. The results are pretty good.

As you can see the Q-Stealth does significantly cut the noise level of the bike. I can't vouch for power loss because I've never rode the bike with the stock silencer. From what I've read its unnoticeable. Hope this helps people who are on the fence about buying this silencer.

Thanks for sharing. I like the looks of the stealth. I have a freshly packed Turbine II and it is pretty quite for what it is.

I also have tinnitus......It was not acquired not from loud noises but being given aspirin when I was young to fight fever from a bad head cold.

my dad would love that. he never wanted us to get 2 strokes cuz they are "too loud" (we had trail 4 strokes like XR's not the new racing 4 strokes). i, on the other hand like it loud!!! ?

but this is good info for people who ride a lot of trails near where people live.

It helps a lot on 2ts if you repack the silencer regularly. I did my Kid's kx 65 recently and it made it MUCH quieter.
