CRF150R Kickstart wont go down and it doesn't move in gear

Just like the title say's. I know someone with an 07 and they say the kick starter only goes down about half way, also when you put it in gear it will not move even with the clutch in.... Major transmission problems? I know nothing of these bikes. I'm a two stroke KTM guy. Much more simple...

mmm sounds like that to me but i ride a bigger wr250f did it have the correct amount of oil and how did this happen any metal flecks in the oil if u have droped it out does it easiely go down half way then just not go any further or just refuses. to me it doesnt sound good and sounds like ether you have chewed a gear and i dont think you have seazed it cause there would be no movement at all to my knowlegde however i wanna know how and what happend before i start making extreme guesses
