X kickstand on a R

Anyone know if I could bolt on a 05 250x kickstand on a 05 250R?

No the 250x kickstand is mounted to the frame by 2 bolts and the 250r doesn't have the mounting holes

Bumber, I saw one on ebay cheap. I guess I'll just have to buy a new one made for the R. Thanks for the fast response though, really appreciate it.

This is true, however the mounting bosses are cast into the R frame and only need to be drilled and tapped for the 2 mounting bolts allowing the X kickstand to be installed onto the R frame. Another method which could be used is to use the mounting bracket fom the 450X, it replaces the left side footpeg mount with one that also has the kickstand mount on it. The footpeg bracket mounting holes are the same for 250/450 R's & X's making this a true bolt on.

O wow I completely forgot about those. Just went and looked on the 250r in the cellar. Drilling and tapping is easy enough. Just need to make sure it's drilled and tapped straight

I was just able to get a trail tech at a good price from sleepyheadYzf. No more leaning my bike on trees.
