350 sxf rear brake question

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased the fasst rear break spring kit for my 350. Its hard for me to "feel" the brake on this bike and the spring is supposed to help it not feel so on-off. Watching this video of the installation he says if you lower the nipple (as I take it moving it down) it will engage the brake quicker and raising the nipple causes it to engage the brake slower...Is that correct? Sounds opposite to me.

I have been interested in this too because it is a touchy rear brake.

You are right he basically said:

Lower- engage quicker

Higher- engage slower

I am missing something with the way it works

I installed it tonight, nothing to it. I left both the stock spring and this new spring on, maybe two springs will help with brake feel for me. Going to ride it this weekend and see how it is. I think he got it backwards in the video. I can not see how raising the nipple will engage the break slower since it has less room to travel up and down.
