A question on filling the shock with N2

Recommended Posts

i was wondering whether you can fill your shock with nitro using a regular clip type air chuck with any degree of

acuracy (can they handle 200 psi at all?) or do you absolutely need one of those no-loss type fittings?

You can, set it 5psi higher than you want, hold the pressure on as you quickly uncouple the chuck, it works fine

you can use the fitting for mountain bike.no loose and sure on the pression on the shock.

if you pull out the normal fitting type and remove quickly you cant say how much n2 are in!!!

not most important but much

I tried it the way marcus described it and it worked.

I doublechecked the pressure with the Racetech N2 tool later and there were 10 bar of N2 in the resi.

But you never know... I bought the Racetech tool because the bike stuff ale talks about wasnt available fastly.

You can put the mtb connecter on the shrader valve and adjust the pressure with your N2 regulator on the bottle.

So here we got the next weakness: reliabilty of the regulator concerning pressure...
