Hotcams clearance

Recommended Posts

Hotcams specify 0.15 for IN and 0.20 for EX. Does anyone know if it's a top or bottom number for Hotcams? I recall someone saying that HC IN cam should be 0.1 to 0.15 but their website and data sheets that came with cams show only 0.15 and 0.20.

Do you guys know if Hotcams have a high/low range and what are those values?

In 0.10-0.15

Ex 0.15-0.20

Shoot for the upper tolerance since the valves will tighten

HOT CAMS

0.10mm-0.15mm intake and 0.15-0.20mm exhausts

You could run um at OEM spec as well..

I just finished shimming my cams to .15 intake and .30 exhaust (as per stock and wanted to go widest since they close as they wear)

is it worth tearing back down and bringing my shims back to the dealership to exchange for a bit tighter on exhaust?

I would leave it.
