cylinder deglazing?

hi i was woundering if deglazing is always necessary because i put my bike back together with a wiseco piston and forgot to do deglaze. the cross hatch is nice and clear on the bottom and not as clear up top.. do i have to take it back apart. thanx alot. CHEERS!!!!

also i have rebuilt bikes in the past that ran rine without deglazing. prolly 3 other bikes i put top ends in and never dglazed anything and 0 porblems. thats why im woundering if this is necessary. everyone seems to be saying it is witch is fine but from my expierence it is not. id like to hear what some people think tho because i may take this one apart again and do it right.

You are probably fine not to do it. Deglazing helps with ring seat though so your rings would probably seat better with a deglaze then without.

not to worry here. iv never deglazed my cylinder other than clean with a rag and D40. not a problem at all.
