03 300EXC Clutch Bleed

Recommended Posts

I just picked up an 03 300exc. The guy I got it from drainrd the clutch & front brake to put the bike up for the winter. I can't for the life of me get the clutch bled. I tried standard way & using a syringe to back bleed with no luck. What am I doing wrong? If I pull the cable from the master cylinder & put my finger over it, it builds pressure fine. I'm assuming the line is completly full of air & that's the problem. What do I need to do?

Try a real heavy back bleed from the bottom until your sure you have pushed clean fluid all the way through. Then do (1) from the top. Sometimes you get a tiny air bubble right at the fitting from back bleeding.
