Oil for 2009 450 XC-F

I just bought my first KTM. Its a 2009 450XC-F with low miles. I was looking at the owners manual and it says 10W-50. Anyone use 10W-40. I have a lots from my last bike let over at $16 a quart. I am going to assume its ok? It Silkolene Pro 4 SX Full syn.

I have the 08 XC-F and run 10-40 Rotella. Change it approx every 10 hours depending on the ride and have no problems

also x2 on the rotella. but oil is almost as big of a debate as 4 strokes vs 2 strokes :/

Note that the only JASO approved Rotella motorcycle oils are Rotella T 15W-40 and T6 5W-40.

My buddy ran Dello 400 diesel engine oil in his 525 exc for years and never had a problem. I run the motorex but think that it is all personal preference. Let us know what you go with.
