XR80/100 Same Exhaust?

Thinking of putting a stock system back on my '03 XR100. Is there a difference between the 80 & 100 exhausts? What year did they go to CRF and is there any difference between XR/CRF exhausts?

When the XR went to the modern bodywork (2001 I believe?) the frame and exhaust also changed. Modern bodywork 80/100 exhaust may not bolt on to a bike with the old school plastic, vice versa. At the very least the later XR's and CRF's had one of the right side panel gromets located on the exhaust. Also, 2000 and earlier bikes did not have a removable tip.

You should have no trouble finding exhaust for your bike, as lots of folks did away with the OE exhaust in hopes of finding greater performance.

Thanx. Went ahead and put my PC system on cl for $100 plus swap for clean stocker '01-present. Never been a fan of loud pipes.
