Recommended Posts

Hey guys heres a little back history of my 97 CR125R.

Surfing CL one day i seen a 97 cr125 - needs work $600 (Thats dirt cheap in IA)

Decided to go look at it, he told me it had been used and abused and then it sat for a year or 2..

Decided to pick it up, the price was right BOBBY!

Now ill let the pictures do the talking of my progress, comment!!

That was day 1, im not sure if you can see in the pictures but the bike had no rear fender.

That transformed into this pretty quickly.

About a week after I bought the bike i had purchased a bunch of parts, and rebuilt the carb and checked everything. I rode it in this stage for a few months until I decided to go all out on it! Heres how it sits now.

Thats one of the other 20% of things to be added, I had about 30 more pictures, but there must be a limit per post.

Lookin good. Reminds me of my 95 CR125 I had. I did a similar rebuild like you. Stripped down to frame and painted, new plastics etc. In my opinion painting the frame a dark color makes a big improvment in looks.
