Idle adjustment screw?

Recommended Posts

ok it is done by hand after your moto is all warmed up....bike idles a lil hi. unscrew it to lower and screw it in to raise the idle.

Idle screw is on the right a big thumb screw with a slot in the middle...changes sometimes for diff temps and it needs to be adjusted for diff types or riding so thats why honda made it a hond screw like the Xr's...sensative

Throttlejockey, There is a better one than that! If you hold your hands out in front of you with your fingers outstretched and your palms perpendicular to the ground the hand that forms an L with the thumb and forefinger is the left one! ?

Nope, that's a YZF carb. They are similar though. The big black knob at the lower left is the idle adjuster on that one. The CRF has a metal thumb screw which is much harder to get to, especially when your hands are cold! It's mounted up higher and the frame and fuel lines obstruct your hands somewhat.
