86 XL600R coil issue

Im at the point in my rebuild of my 86 XL600r where I'm looking to find a spark solution! I've tested all the continuity values of the ignition system and came up with a dead/dying coil as the issue. Basically I have a coil on order but Im wondering if there is another coil that I could use to get it goin in the mean time? Maybe from a four wheeler or something else that has different lighting values but similar ignition?
