crf250x has no spark!

I was driving the bike for 15min or so and all of the sudden the bike stalled. I tried starting it again with no luck. I took the spark plug out to see if there is spark so i ground the spark plug to the frame and there is no spark. I even put a new spark plug in the bike and still nothing. Any ideas what i should check??

unplug or un-ground the kill switch from the bar would be a good start., check wiring fro unplugged or grounded wires. Does the starter still spin?still

Yes the starter still works.

I bought a new ignition coil thinking that was the problem but it didnt help the bike still has no spark. I tried to pop start the bike when the bike died on me and the headlight would go on and the shut off when the bike stopped working. I dont know if that means the stator is still good. Any ideas of what i should check. No wires look melted too.
