Awesome track. Super hot ?. Big regional race. 5 guy over 60 class running with 30 over 50’s. 3-4th both starts from a concrete gate was disappointing. Flat front tire after both motos (tried to air it up) and 1 fork no oil. Single jumped only. 3-3 finishes. I don’t know why, but getting a trophy ? makes me feel justified??

? now perfect time to get your suspension upgraded.. racetech or endurospec or whatever. One fork no oil??? That’s not good. Congrats on lining up and racing! And being in there and placing !!  any video footage??? There are fewer and fewer of us even able to do that. Kudos to you.  Some talk smack I notice sometimes and they’re 30 and maybe 40? Ish? Roll up to the starting line at 60 and over  and bang bars with almost everyone at least a couple decades younger. Id say from before 40 your body just deteriorates so you are doing more with a more beat up body... Even if you get smoked.. everyone else is Supposed to smoke you!!! Part of the fun is beating as many young guys as I can..             (nothing said on the outside.. just sn internal thang) . It’s just awesome being there..congrats again!!! Good job!!

I have a good start video but too big so need to put it on YouTube or go to my FB?

Slick concrete was challenging. 
Grouped with 45+ who went 1st then 2nd gate drop was 60+ (5) and 55+(12?) I beat 1/2 of them? Our class winner owns a track and checked out, beat the guy in second for about a lap each time he reeled me in and we diced a bit and I let him go and neversaw anyone except a few + 45 guys lapped me which kept me to 4 llaps (?). Too long (7pm left) and hot for too little riding.

Awesome Johnny. I am a bit jealous. I wish I could still race mx like you are..With my heart issues and being on blood thinners me deciding to race mx is a recipe for disaster. Im suppressing my wanting to go fast like the old days by riding mostly tight technical which forces me to keep actual speed down. That track looks awesome too! I’m still doing hare scrambles and sprint enduros but I control my speed to not push to being on the edge. I never ride over my head anymore and just go to levels of going as fast as I can but smooth and conserving energy. That’s typical anyway for hard enduro and any long races. Pace. ..and save so you have enough to put on the gas a little more for the end of the race. 
 

As far as starts go I start in 3rd gear for my 300 rr . I got a holeshot on one of the very few concrete gate starts Ive done in a sprint Enduro more recently. I was surprised I did so well that first time.  . In the 80’s I always did 3rd gear starts on my 430xc Husky off the line.. I figure with your 500 that ought to hook up well. I did 3rd gear starts with my 525 rs too. Just a thought in case you aren’t using 3rd.

Curren Thurman domintated. Won 3 of 4 moto's, dnf while leading the 4th. Grant Harlan went 3-2 for 2nd, National top 10 finisher John Short went 2-3 for 3rd. 18 money 450 riders with several top names who didn't stand out, there was a few vomiting being near heat stroke. 

 Been out at Spoaks all day watering. Clint cut some new lines  with the D5 tonight on the new Vet track, it is coming along awesome. 

A few San Antonio guys are coming tomorrow and I am going to give them a guided tour of the 14 mile loop, turn track, sand track, pro track, vet track, GP track, single track (7m) and flat track. It's a hoot, you'll have to make the trip some time. Dirt Rider Disneyland.

Sometimes MX sucks. Chrissi Totilas ended her Loretta dreams this year with a missed shift and case landing resulting in a left ankle displacement. She helped me put up my awning and we rode the Vet track together. 
 

Cooked fajitas for the gang afterwards.

5 pro’s going all day the track was pimp, heading back out today.

Hope your friend gets well fast. Just one mistake changes things on a motorcycle sometimes. It’s easy to forget.  Track looks nice .

? Thanks. Sorry about the young lady, glad it wasn't worse. Tell her to not rush the healing, ankles and wrists can be a lifelong thing if not treated and healed properly. Have a great day today, so nice and cool!
