This is my 2003 KX250, 88 KX500 conversion. I decided to do this conversion, because I like the 2003-2004 models so much. They are the last of the front end turning two stroke KX250s, and the ergonomics are better than the earlier 99-02 models in my opinion. I've added the KYB kit suspension from Pro Circuit similar to what they used on the SplitFire bikes.

The 2003 and 2004 KX 250 are my favorite years for the bike. They are the last of the front end turning bikes, and have better ergonomics (IMHO) than the earlier 99-02 bikes. Send the suspension out for a re-valve or replace it with newer stuff. Avoid the four stroke stuff if you can, they have different trail that affects the handling and requires changing the triple clamps. 2007 is pretty good stuff. You can bolt on 06-08 KX450F with only two small brackets on the radiators for a fresh look. 2014 fenders bolt on.
