At a rough estimate I would say 2500 - 3000 hours start to finish. The bike just saw sunlight and grass for the first time in two years 15 days ago. A few weeks ago I sent away a very hopeful very last minute application to show my bike at The 20th annual Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show at Stafford County Showground in England!
While having a poke around their site on my phone I realised I had filled out the wrong form :-(.
Unbelievable good luck intervened on Monday when I called to try to rectify my error when I was told my original application was too late but to my utter delight they had just had a cancellation :-))))). I have no van and Stafford's 270 miles away time to break it down and pack it in to the car and head south to show my first restoration at my first show and would you believe on its first venture near a panel of judges is awarded 1 of 30 Highly Commended rosettes among a sea of some 1200 other amazing bikes on display.
Topping off the weekend was getting to speak to and shake the hand of AMA hall of farmer Sammie Miller who as a true gent took a poster of him on his old trials bike off the wall display in the dirt bike hall and autographed it for me!
I have 330 pics of my bare metal nut and bolt restoration on. Bikepics.com/members/redordead/89Cr250/
This amazing bike is now ready to be raced or pinned up on your wall as a mint appreciating award winning restoration so if you would like to own her get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org
