1. Suzuki DR-Z400S (2008)

   Bought this bike used with several common mods, such as Clarke 3.9 tank, Raptor petcock, 3x3 mod, jet kit, skid plate, FMF slip-on, and more.<br />This bike has brought back true freedom to my riding. There is almost no place this bike won't take me. Great dirt manners because of the heavier springs and valving done by the PO. Yet it is a decent commuter scooter as well. The DR-Z is just all that and a bag of chips.

2. Yamaha YZF600R (2003)

   I bought this bike in June of 2011 with 30,000 miles on it, intending to use is mainly for commuting. In the past few years, it has far exceeded my expectations. At 55 MPG, and rock solid reliability, it has paid for itself three times over in fuel savings over driving my truck.<br />But it is so much more than a commuter. It is responsive, and with heavier front springs, and an R6 rear shock, it is a dragon slayer.<br />I already have over 100,000 miles on this machine with just regular maintenance; oil, chains and tires. <br />This bike has freed me from the bondage of the gas pump. It has allowed me to make 3,000 mile visits to NJ and other destinations.<br />My YZF600RR owes me nothing, yet it keeps on giving.
