It's not a WR300 but the new 2014 TE300, only because there's no TE300 in the list. Bought this a few months ago coming from a 2010 KTM300EXC. I loved the Kato and the Husky, in standard form, is a better bike than the KTM. Not much better though. Stock suspension is fine and works as well as my Teknik modded EXC and the later "bling" bits like the clear tank just top it off. Power is definitely a tad stronger. She'll do me for the next few years.

I love this bike! I do a fair bit of touring and being a mature gentleman I like my bikes to have a bit of comfort combined with a degree of - fast. The Tiger has both. The ride position is more like my dirt bike and that gives me heaps of control with the wide bars but the gel seat has softened gradually and my skinny butt feels the base. It's a small complaint and easily overcome. Power is plenty enough and running Pilot Road 3.s and now 4's inspire total confidence. With those tires it has to rate as one of the best wet weather handlers on the planet. Biggest issue is the false neutral between 4th and 5th which happens on lazy shifts. It's a common fault on the 1050 so I just live with it. For touring I fit a large screen which eliminates buffeting but day to day the normal screen with a valance is perfect. Standard panniers do an adequate job but I recently fitted a Givi top box and that makes a big difference. This one is a keeper!
