It's alright, has a big bore kit, suspension isn't what I like, nice power.

Unfortunately it has a busted tranny right now :'(

OK, so the XR100 is a step up in suspension and handling from the XL100, but the build quality went to crap on them. Forks are wet noodles and don't hold the chrome, and the swingarm assembly wears out in no time. Also, my biggest gripe about it was the spokes are ALWAYS breaking. Perhaps it's OK for an 80 lb rider. Like my XR500, this thing get beaten up on a daily basis doing farm work.

It's a heavy beast at 330 lbs or so, but I've put tons of hours on it, it's ridden probably a half hour every day and I've had it 3 years. It's definitely an abused bike, but it holds up to it very well, has had zero issues once I regasketed the carbs... It is of course hard on rear tires, I found the Dunlop D606 to be the only tire that stands up to it, all the Kenda, etc knobbies get rounded leading edges and they're useless in a short time, the D606 maintains sharp edges and bites for far longer.. Yes, it's about 60% more money, but it does last at least that much longer. <br />What motorbike do you know can haul a 500 lb trailer and go feed cattle?
