Zero maintenance, 100% reliability. This is probably the most rugged workhorse ATV you can find. For the amount of abuse that I've put this machine through, there is no reasonable explanation for why its still functioning like new. Best money I ever spent

I have a love-hate relationship with this bike. I've had so many ridiculous problems with the carburetor its not even funny... on top of that, the carburetor could not be any more difficult to service. It almost makes me think the Japanese are still trying to fight WWII passive-aggressively.

Those issues aside, this bike is an absolute dream. It is unquestionably the best motocross machine I've ever thrown my leg over.

This was Kawasaki's first KX250F model. If I'm being honest, Kawasaki still had a lot to learn about building a good 4-stroke at that time. This started off as my dad's bike, and after just two rides he was so frustrated with it he reverted back to a 125 and gave the bike to my brother. My brother had a better experience with it and used it for several years before upgrading, but whenever we went riding, it was this KX250F that would hold us back. It was extremely difficult to start, even more difficult to service, and mechanically it seemed like one thing after another would go wrong. It took my brother probably 3 years of swapping OEM parts with aftermarket replacements before this bike really became fun to ride. But that being said, all the kinks were worked out, I liked it so much I bought it from him when it was time for him to upgrade. Now it's one of my favorite toys!

An amazing bike that served me well in the prime of my career. Basically everything is stock except for the suspension setup and some minor changes to the gearing. It has the most reliable motor of any bike I've ever owned, almost always starts first kick (even after sitting for months) and there's smooth delivery across the entire powerband. I used it in both motocross and hare scrambles and it never let me down.
