Bought as a cheap hack but really fell for it's 90s charms. It's incredibly comfy for a sportsbike, there's usable torque from low down and the top end rush still feels proper fast. The fairing is big enough to provide wind and weather protection and there's plenty of room for soft luggage The only downside is the considerable weight (230kgs wet) which tests the 22yr old brakes and suspension. I plan to overhaul these two areas to bring them into line with the rest of the performance on offer. The only mods so far are a dubble bubble clear screen and a Dynojet quickshifter

Bought from a friend (first owner) who'd had 17'' wheels on it from day 1. She'd been left under a cover outside for two years when i went to see it. Cleaned the carb, replaced the battery and tyres and she's good as new. I've used it for communting, a supermoto trackday, motocross practice and sand racing so far. Planning to do some enduro events and eventually take her to the Sahara for the Intercontinental Rally, some day :)

Bought it because I couldn't find an XR400 or similar locally. It's ok, nothing special. The stock tyres are appalling in the wet but very good on dry tarmac. Stock bars bent when the bike rolled of its sidestand, replaced with Renthals which vastly improved the riding position. Fuel tank is pitifully small, 100-120 miles will see the fuel light on. Paint and finish is what you'd expect for the price. Forks are rusty, frame and yoke are rusty. The motor needs to be revved and doesn't like to labour. Would make a dependable DS bike but don't expect thrills.

Never released as an official model in 2011. This bike was destined for a team in UK but funding issues meant they didn't want it. I was working at a Husqvarna dealership at the time and the importer contacted the dealer. Took delivery of the bike March 2011. 5 years and over 100 hours later it's still 100% reliable and I'm still in love. As a novice rider the combination of very low weight (97kg dry) smooth power delivery and top notch brakes gives me loads of confidence. The only issue I've had was water pump impeller falling apart. Luckily I noticed while warming the bike up and no damage was done. No plans to sell as long as I'm still racing, nothing on the market has the same appeal.<br />
