great starter bike, i been riding for a while and i still enjoy pulling it out! there is a few mods to give it a little more pep an there is a lot of parts from the suzuki rm85 that are great to swap over to make the drz an even better bike. For instance you can swap the entire front suspension, the rear shock, and also the swing arm over to the drz from a rm85. that will make the bike handle tone better! si far i have just removed the snorkel tube from the air box, installed a KnN air filter and installed a FMF pro series muffler and just those small mods turned the bike around completely for the better!

I purchased the bike brand new from the dealer ship in 2014 an loved the bike from day one! I had scored the piston an destroyed the valves durning the snow storm this past winter, an thats when I decided to fully build the engine with the best parts since this a race bike to start and also there is no need to go back an do it again anytime soon lol. race piston, crank, race camshafts, injector, and everything else for a race build. i just finished the breakin on the new build and i am going to install the electronic fuel jet programer an get a dyne tune on high octane fuel an pull the power out of this baby.

i Have a 2016 yz125 not a 15 thupertalk hasn't updated it in yet but thats ok! i purchased my 2016 yamaha yz125 brand new from the yamaha dealer a few months back. its my first 2stroke i have ever owned and i absolutely love the bike! i orignally went to pick up a 250 2stroke but they had just sole the last one so i grabbed the last 2016 yz125 at the time. the bike runs great an very strong, even stock. i have never had any problems what so ever an when you get used to a 2smoke there is really nothing you can't take care of. i use yamalube premix at 32.1 ratio an i change my transmission fluid every few rides with yamalube 10w 40. so far i installed a FMF factory fatty pipe with the stock silencer an i just recently installed Vforce 3 reeds and they woke the bike up big time. it sounds great an runs even better. i started mixing my fuel 50% 93 octane an 50% 110 octane leaded and the bike is so much more crispy! this bike is my baby and I'm glad i went with the #BlewCrew lol
