Just bought the bike for $300 off of a professor out here in Santacruz. It ran a year or two ago but since then its been leaning against a fence.

To appreciate this bike, you have to think about what it is and isn't.  It's not a big displacement European adventure bike and it's not motorcross racer either.  It's the go just about everywhere bike and it does a great job at it.  I rode 125 miles today (50 on trails and 75 on pavement) and it did perfectly.  I was amazed how competent it is on the dirt.  I rolled over rock trails (no dirt just big riprap) and got over it easier than I could have walked the same trail.  It went through the most difficult terrain that is in La Dee Flat just fine, then then I rode home at 65 mph.  Pretty impressive.  Nice job Honda!

I am trying to figure out why every time I start my bike, crf, it dumps gas in the engine case. Literally at idle for 30 seconds gas and oil start coming out of overflow. Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions?

Only ridden it about an hour.
Power is GREAT, surprisingly good handling and suspension (a bit soft tho) or an old bike. Front brakes don't do anything (I think the pads are contaminated-new ones coming) rear is fine.
Was down on compression ( 90ish psi despite supposedly having a recent rebuild) so I've pulled it down to bore, replace the piston, and do the mains and a rod kit.
Trying Wossner stuff (piston and rod) which I've never used before.

This is probably the best bike I have ever owned. I loved my 17, this puts it to shame. Well, that's a bit over the top but it is superior in every way. Feels like a 250F, suspension works well (though I will tweak it a bit) and the magic button is worth the price of admission.

Apparently the rear muffler mount is breaking off, mainly with aftermarket pipes with solid mounts but there have been reports of them breaking with the stock mufflers as well. Pro Circuit recommends having the mount beefed up, which I did. And props to Pro Circuit; their original systems had solid mounts but they are now upgrading them to rubber mounts free of charge, except for the shipping there. They will pay for the return shipping. Kawasaki is also warranting the sub frames as well. I think the mount is welded on crooked as shown in one of my pics.

My first KTM.  I've been wanting one since my first riding partner has a Penton 250. It came with a P3 skid plate, and SRT rad and fin guards.  I added a P3 pipe guard and KTM handle.  Still getting used to it after not riding for a while, but man, what a great bike!

We went big with the Sport Cruiser.  I love this bike.  It is so nimble running up and down the mountain passes.  It handles corners like a dream.  And then, just to get up and go on the open road, it gobbles up miles so easily.  I'm surprised how easy this bike is to control.  It doesn't feel as big as it is.
