I too am a owner of an 85 XR200, it was my cousins bike. She upgraded to a newer bike after owning the 200 since new. It sat for 7 years without running due to a blown head gasket, which is now fixed. I read your comment in a post that you drilled the banjo bolts and cam holes, and I see your picture. But may I ask, what size you drilled them? And where and how much did you port the head too? I would like to do anything I possibly can to get the bike to run a lot cooler. I will be trying synthetic oil, too, to see if that really helps as well. I'm also taking it in soon for some other work (carb repair, tires, fork boots and seals, etc.) Any help or pointers would be appreciated. Great looking bike by the way!
