KTM 150 XC (2017)

Stocker is very small. My boot would slip off when wet.

Stock suspension worked great for me in slow technical stuff. This despite the fact that the compression clickers provide virtually zero adjustment. But when I'd get into third gear on the pipe in rough terrain it would beat me up pretty badly. Mark Hilton at MVR converted the forks to compression/rebound on both sides and installed his A-kit set-up. Now they are very responsive to clicker changes, and allow me to absolutely hammer rough rocks and roots. On the rear he recommends changing from progressive to straight rate spring and his valve set-up provides the progressive action needed. I have not made this modification yet, but even with a simple revalve the rear is much better than stock. With the mods the sag range is now 110-120. My bike is set at 115 and it feels much better balanced at speed in rough terrain and in corners than it ever did stock.

Stronger than stock, less drag, doesn't pack mud on the chain like the stocker does.

This bike makes lots of chain slap noise. This mod eliminates most of it.

Stockers are stronger than ever, but channel debris into the face of the radiator. After every ride I had to remove them (now requires removal of 4 bolts on each) to clean. The Trail Tech guards do a good job and have a protective tab that extends below the guard to protect the spigot on the bottom of the right radiator. This spigot is exposed to flying rocks and debris otherwise.

Price reflects front and rear. Easy installation, work well, very durable. Comes in handy in tough places...like lifting the bike onto the stand in the garage :-) I use zip ties to hold the front strap in place.

Still does the job of the stock piece plus added protection for the slave cylinder and doesn't pack full of mud, sticks, rocks, small animals, etc.

Quality of the stock unit was awful. 4 of the 8 quadrants had significant air gaps, with one gap about a millimeter or slightly more. Wreaked havoc with my attempts to jet the bike. The V-Force is awesome.

Great addition to a bike.

Pros:

1. They really do work well
2. They're adjustable from soft to firm
3. Essentially maintenance free; I just spray a little silicone around the cushions occasionally
4. Great customer support
5. Transfer from bike to bike, so one time investment. I've had them on an ATV and 3 bikes so far and they work as good as the day I bought them.

Cons:

1. They're heavy
2. The more you cut your bars down the more they impinge upon lever position.

Despite the cons, until l I find something that works better I wont' ride without them.

Added torque without losing performance anywhere in the rpm range. Still runs on pump gas. Can now often pull hills and tough technical sections in a higher gear. Required a little richer jetting, but doesn't seem to have made much difference in the range.

Not quite as much padding as the soft seat I installed on pre-'17 model KTM's, but still makes a significant difference versus the stock seat. Build quality also is not quite on par with previous EE soft seats, but it has held up well after about 35 hours of tough abuse.

It's done the job for 80+ hours, including TKO and many hours in very tough mountain singletrack.

No complaints. Fits perfectly, easy to install and remove, quiet, protects very well for what it is. It does not extend out very far on the clutch cover side, so if you're one of the those guys who likes LOTS of protection, then this may not be the guard for you.

No complaints, but next time I'll save the $12 because I almost never change my idle speed.

One of the best mods ever. No complaints. Most tires easier to install with Tubliss, but tires with thick stiff bead can be significantly more difficult.
