The original brake lines were from 1988 and felt rather balooney. Replaced them a year or so ago.
Eliminated all junctions and whatnot front. Is now one line direktly from master brake cylinder down to the caliper, instead four+ short bits and a big heavy steel junction just below the steering head.
The feeling is still as if the calipers are made of cheese, but it does brake harder now.
Nothing much to do about it, it's a 30 year old bike...
