$550.00CategoryCustomLast UpdatedReviewI tried another cam builder, and had repeated failures, finally went with MegaCycle on a friends suggestion,,best decision i ever made,,the quality of their work is incredible...and the cam definately performs as expected...you must use their hardened rockers too or risk a failure..hardwelded cams require matching hardwelded rockers or they can eat each other to death...
The other cam builder against my wishes and better judgement,,told me the OE rockers were fine,,the cam and rockers ate each other,,and after 600 plus dollars i was done with that builder..

$150.00CategoryCustomLast UpdatedReviewThe XR650 can be a very decent bike offroad with 14/48 gearing...stock is 15/45......the only issue with installing 14/48 ,on these bikes, is if you plan on doing alot of high speed slab work is the engine revs seriously high at any real highway speed..so you have a choice, either swap front sprockets after the highway run to the trail,,and put on a 13 tooth or 14 tooth front sprocket..
Orrrr put in the overdrive FMX650 european fifth gear,,i run 14/48 on the highway and the enginew rpm is ALOT lower..and with 14/48 on the trail this bike is geared perfectly..well worth the money, every cent..
$45.00CategoryCustomLast UpdatedReviewThe XR650L is known for a big gap between 1st gear and 2nd gear...this NX650 gear when installed removes that big gap and moves the gap between 2nd and 3rd gear..
What this helps with is,,when on tight trails riding a stock XR650L trans gearing..you either have to rev the bugger out of it in first,as 1st gear is really low..or shift into second which is too tall and ride too fast so the engine does not lug badly..
You really do not notice the gap between 2nd and 3rd after changing the gear.....you are going fast enough on easier terrain to need 3rd anyway..
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewThe FMF Q2 sounds great,,and the color is nicer than the Q4 i think..i got this cheap NOS still in the box..
$250.00CategoryCustomLast UpdatedReviewThe FCR MX is probably the best mod for these bikes, should have done this first......get a late model 07 up CRF250 or CRF450R 40 or 41mm carb......install a Boyessen QS3 adjustable leak jet..get a Noss adapter and extended fuel screw and install it,,you can use the OE cables with a slight mod on the carb,,,use the CRF throttle housing though as it opens the slide faster..with a performance camshaft a pumper carb is a must.....this really trasnsformed this bike from being slow acting to a very good trailbike that can pop wheelies on command when needed.
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewI was in with Mark from the beginning on his oil cooler,,got one of the forst he made....
This oil cooler simply flat out works,,,,i`ve dropped the bike a pile and never hurt it,,it`s strong and looks sweet, and cools about 25 degrees on the highway...
Mark sent me the newer one piece guard as an update and some ano`d hardware too...well worth every cent,,i put DEI heat sleeves on the rubber lines m,ore for looks than anything..
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewVery well made except the bar inserts which suck,,,,,i am getting HDB bar inserts and some 1 1/8 bars to correct that..
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewThe Scotts rear rotor guard,a sweet piece of alloy it is,,seriously strong and unbreakable...i got this piece used for a really good price
$100.00CategoryCustomLast UpdatedReviewI decided to get a skidplate from XRs Only..red ano`d.....they forgot to include hardware,,there`s a surprize...
The pic of the "brown bread" if you are wondering,,is sound deadening material...if you look at pic 2 it shows how i applied it.....this stops the famous skidplate echo...that is when engine noise is amplified by the alloy and sent back to the rider.....some really notice the echo and some people say not so much....all i know is this STOPPED the echo and i find no difgference with the skidplate on or off..no noise
$0.00CategoryCustomLast UpdatedReviewHere`s how to lock up the inner part of the clutch when trying to remove the hub nut........after using the C clamp just drop a penny in between the gears at the crank and clutch drive gear to stop all movement..
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewNearly bulletproof on the trail,,i`ve had them smack trees at speed.no problems...they like to move at high speed as the mirror ball end is too smooth,i sanded the ball end with 80 grit, helped alot......
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewVery well made and light strong bars..the HIWAY DIRT BIKE bar end inserts are a must i think, the CYCRA bar end hardware is junk,if you drop the bike on the throttle suide the guard moves in jamming the throttle...
The bar inserts are threaded in and can`t move in anymore when dropped, the alloy spacewrs i put on in front of the inserts makes a clean looking application, you do not have to cut the end off the throttle tube,,it also moves the guard out some so you do not have to cut the ball ends off the levers..it just plain looks better, works better,,and is stronger..
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewMakes standing while riding more comfortable and can let you position the bars ahead to free up cockpit room..
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewNeeded new rotors and pads,,,,we`ll try these out and see how they work,,sure look cool anyway..
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewThrows more light in my quick test..
$140.00CategoryCustomLast UpdatedReviewNot a bike mod,but it`s cool and really usefull so i thought i`d show it.....if you get one make sure you get the 10 gallon airtank...the 5 gallon did not fit, some 5 gallon air tanks might,,but the 10 gallon makes the stand taller, less bending is always good....i sticker bombed the heck out or the tank,,i think it`s pretty cool looking in my garage..
