I expected so much less when I got this bike, and I've quite frankly been amazed in the year I've owned it. It's genuinely hard to put a finger on a comparable bike on the market today but if I had to compare power delivery, handling and suspension, the best comparison would be a KDX 220 engine having mated with a 2019 Husqvarna TE250 rolling chassis.
Mine's plated and street legal, and it's very the only two stroke I've ridden that's completely comfortable on road at 55mph, but handles completely like a dirt bike off road and in single track.
Quality overall is pretty on par with the Japanese big 4, parts are easy to get factory direct, and there's a good amount of factory or aftermarket upgrades for the bike. In 30 years of dirt biking, there's no question that this is one of the best handling bikes I've owned.
Power delivery isn't quite on par with a 250 given that it's only a 225, but it's plenty comparable to others in the 200 class and manages to scoot all 250lbs of me around as fast as I can ride. I'd think it's only a matter of time before these guys start popping up in more enduro races.
