Honda XR650L (1998)
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewBought the bike with tires that were beyond used up. Read a lot of good things about the D606's for all around riding and thought I'd give them a try. The tread depth is 20/32" new and they look and ride smooth and quiet and seem to do well for offroad traction. So far they appear to be a good addition.
Installed a set of Dunlop D606's and figured I give these heavy duty tubes a shot. They are 4mm thick and seem very durable. They actually make installation easier as they hold their shape well even while deflated. They are a quite a bit heavier than a stock tube but the weight is not at all noticeable while riding.
Edit: I've determined that these tubes create a balance issue even with balancing beads installed. They are tough but I removed them.
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewSeems to be a much better alternative to the traditional rubber rim strip. The thick, slick, and durable self adhesive plastic tape will allow the tube to move as needed and still protect it from the spoke nipples. Installs easily and adheres well.
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewAfter a few hundred miles they seem to be great wheels. They look great with fast shipping.
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewThis is a great product that works flawlessly. It is a great option for the stock speedometer/odometer replacement.
Cyclops Adventure Sports 3800 Lumen H4 LED Headlight Bulb$65.00CategoryLast UpdatedReviewThe bulb fits great in the stock 650L housing and the brightness and beam pattern is superior to stock. The LED bulb illuminates reflective road signs and roadway markings much better than the stock bulb as well. It does this while drawing 35 less watts from the electrical system, and with less heat produced, which is also a great benefit to the bike.
Cyclops Adventure Sports 1157 Red LED Tail Light Bulb$25.00CategoryLast UpdatedReviewThis is a great replacement bulb for the WPS enduro tail light housing. It is small enough to easily fit into the housing and doesn't produce enough heat to damage the plastic. It is considerably brighter than the small, incandescent, dual filament bulb supplied with the light and draws a few less watts from the electrical system. The dual intensities are easy to see in bright sunlight.
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewA great addition to the bike.
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewHigh quality, great protection.
