CategoryLast UpdatedReview83mm oversize piston kit, pushing it up to 290cc. also a 13.5:i high compression piston. it really makes the bike scream, the poor 250 thinks its a 450 with this set up.
CategoryLast UpdatedReviewdoesn't fit exactly like stock, i had to fab up a steel tap to lower it 1" at the aft mount. if you mount it in the stock position your air box WILL melt! mine actually caught fire, melted the seat plastics and airbox, and my engine blew up shortly after (not too sure if that is linked or not). I am not sure if the metal tubing is just really thin but it seems to get hotter than the stock pipes and i had to wrap it with heat wrap just to keep it from melting all my new plastics again.
after the mods and the rebuild, i really like the system. it breaths really well and sounds great not quiet but not loud either.
$0.00CategoryCustomLast UpdatedReviewinstalled a used airbox from a wr that has the dzus fasteners on the side for quick air filter access, so you don't have to remove the seat. the only issue is the forward upper mounts aren't the same and the left side number plate doesn't have the same lower mount. if you had the wr sub-frame it would be a perfect swap.
