The standard carb is an absolute piece of crap. It has zero mid range, and is impossible to tune. Throw it away and get this Mikuni upgrade from Engines Only. Its an easy bolt on, and Frank does an incredible job of helping with jetting and anything else he can do to help. Transformed this KLX140L into a bike that astounds !!!

I thought about replacing the standard fork with KX100 / 85 forks, but decided to just upgrade the standard forks. I've had great experience with these emulators and feel comfortable using them.
