    Rekluse Auto Clutch

If you have slippage in your high gears, then you either one of three: One, have installed it incorrectly. Two, adjusted it wrong, or three it is defective. You will wear out your clutch plates prematurely. At idle you might have just a tiny amount of forward motion, but it is best if you have no creep. What springs did you use... Low, medium, or high engagement...??? Bottom line if you slip you are creating unnecessary friction that will burn out your clutch prematurely. Erling

    Advanced Carbon Fiber Mold making........

Indeed. It held up great for me. When I traded the bike for the 12gslc, I sold the pipe among other parts. The guy who bought it had a aftermarket fuel controller on it. He was running it too lean and the Temps rose, and the pipe showed some stress signs. That was the last I heard. Here you go..... http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/my-next-evil-project.783641/ Erling

I get the cloth from this place. Usually get the discounted 40 inch 2x2 twill.... http://uscomposites.com/shortroll.html I get the epoxy from here..... http://www.ebay.com/itm/VACUUM-INFUSION-EPOXY-RESIN-VERY-THIN-CRYSTAL-CLEAR-FAST-INFUSION-FAST-INFUSION-/221037444081?hash=item3376dbbbf1 You can really get it from anywhere. The CF are more standardized than the epoxy. There are a lot of bad polymers on the market, and it is best you are familiar with the people making them or use recommendations from people you trust. Nothing like a project you have cared for for 100 hrs, breaking down as the bonding is not holding up. Erling

    MRD vs Powercore sound level

I will look through the vids on my pb acount. If memory serves me correct the open MRD was in the 108-113DB/SAE range, but that was on a 55 HP 470 and with the MRD insert I want to say it dropped to around or just under 100DB, Quite impressive.

Somewhere in the following threads I took measurements, but dont know where exactly. http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/630533-ssw-mrd-carbon-fiber-tip/?p=6311184&hl=how%20to%20carbon%20fiber%20ebrabaek&fromsearch=1#entry6311184 http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/689153-how-to-build-your-own-carbon-fiber-muffler/?hl=how%20to%20carbon%20fiber%20ebrabaek Some of the threads are quite old, and the links might be broken. If you see anything specifically you want to see, then let me know, and I will try to dig them up. Erling

    Advanced Carbon Fiber Mold making........

Thanks. I have not tried to submerge them, but with a weather tight foam seal on the top, and a dual flange on the lid, it sure passed the splash test. I dont think I am allowed to cross thread to the forum where the build was published, but you can find my FB link here on my TT info. In there is the links to the builds.

    Advanced Carbon Fiber Mold making........

Thanks..... I find that unless I need high strength in a structural layup, it is easier to ninja a bagless project. It is however fun.... Messy, but fun. Erling

  15. I am not sure what excately you are trying to acomplish with that languish. All you guys are acomplishing here is the the mods having enough, and they pull the trigger. May I suggest we spare each other the sparring, and focus on what the thread is for. No reason for fighting each other. Erling
