    2017 EXC Liven it up

I bought a 450 EXC a while back. I found the best way to liven it up was to buy a Yamaha 450. This also had the added bonus of good suspension.

    Removing the lurch from a YZ250FX ?

No lurching. Super tractable and still rips BRM Map FUEL IGNITION 1, 2, 3 0, 2, 3 2, 2, 2 -1, 1, 3 2, 2, 2 -3, -2, 1 I run this on my WR 450 and YZ250FX Very controllable and plenty of power Basic tuning is better bottom end with more fuel and retarded timing. Top end advanced ignition timing and fuel to suit conditions.

Shop told me my forks were crooked

Send them an Invoice for fixing their shoddy work more like it. Include the fuel bill. Name and blame them!
  8. I have had this issue while running Dunlop MX3S on the front with 10 psi on the 450. Luckily I was able to pump it up again to get the seal back. Seams if you hit rocks at the right angle it will dislodge the bead for a second and let the air out. Never had this problem running Michelin MX5. As others have said, up the pressure a little.
  9. Use Honda front brake pads also

    New Yamaha two strokes 2019!

What no Lectron, it is not complete then
  12. Awesome job but bought the 2.5G already. However, in addition to the battery box would you consider printing a rear guard reinforcement using existing points. Picking the bike up by the flimsy guard is not the best.
  13. I have had the 2.5gal installed for a good month or so now. Had to cut the seat a little but other wise the fit up was without any other modification. This tank has the fuel level sensor which came on last ride after just over 100Km. I then rode another 30km and still had a litre or so in the tank. Therefore all up I should get around 150km out of a tank. That is plenty for the riding I do. Of interest is the stated capacity of 10.4 litres on the documentation supplied with the tank (which I have not been able to confirm). I roughly get around 15km/l so in reality it is not far off. Feel is a bit bulkier between the knees and the airbox lid is harder to lock on. Weight wise I swapped out the lead acid battery for a lithium battery and saved around 2 kg which offsets the extra fuel. Fuelling up is a lot easier now as I can see the fuel. All good. Now I need a fuel filter sock for the IMS, does twin air make them.

Big chinese radiators for Beta rr

I have been using GPI for several years. they work great and are robust. Winner radiators look exactly the same.
  15. I have been using Camelbacks for years. No funny tastes except when the fungus grows inside. Tip, after a ride, rinse the bladder and pipe then throw it in the freezer. Stops the fungus growth.
