    Free Outlaw Racing Shift Lever!!!

A London lawyer runs a stop sign and gets pulled over by a Glasgow copper. He thinks that he is smarter than the cop because he is a lawyer from London and is certain that he has a better education then any Jock cop. He decides to prove this to himself and have some fun at the Glasgow cops expense!! Glasgow cop says," License and registration, please." London Lawyer says, "What for?" Glasgow cop says, "You didn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign." London Lawyer says, "I slowed down, and no one was coming." Glasgow cop says, "You still didn't come to a complete stop. License and registration, please." London Lawyer says, "What's the difference?" Glasgow cop says, "The difference is, you have to come to complete stop, that's the law. License and registration, please!" London Lawyer says, "If you can show me the legal difference between slow down and stop, I'll give you my license and registration; and you give me the ticket. If not, you let me go and don't give me the ticket." Glasgow cop says, "Sounds fair. Exit your vehicle, sir." The London Lawyer exits his vehicle. The Glasgow cop takes out his baton and starts beating the crap out of the lawyer and says, "Do you want me to stop, or just slow down?" Graeme. aka pogmahon

    any riders from oz here??

Hey there !! Graeme from Geelong here. DRZ400 is my ride. Just got home from a blast in Wombat State Forest today, we covered just over 100kms through the open trails in really wet greasy conditions, had everything from rutted out downhills to clay surface big climbs and just about everything in between.... Great day out and i'm thinking i'm gonna ache a little tomorrow Cheers

Killing lights = killing grounds - question.

Let us know how you get on with suppliers as i'm wanting to do the same thing here. I'm in Australia and have to import this switch block also. Seems the most painless way to achieve desired result although certainly not a cheap option. Graeme.

New boots and spastic gear changes !

Update. I've raised the shifter 2 splines on the shaft but had to remove the CS Sprocket Cover in order to get the clearance... no biggie. It still feels weird but at least i can get the toebox under the lever now, more riding and getting the feel of it now i guess. Cheers Graeme.

New boots and spastic gear changes !

No probs... i actually have a clearance issue with the front sprocket cover but managed to move it up 1 spline, it's sitting a fair bit higher and i can get the boot under the lever now, guess riding and adjusting will be the solution... i use the bike to get to and from work and a bit of road riding so i normally ride with my work boots on and have been spoilt by the full range of ankle articulation this style of boot provides. Cheers Graeme
  8. Hey guys, I just lashed out on a pair of Sidi Flex Force MX Boots and my gear change technique has gone to S*&% ! Upshifts have become a real ordeal and i'm wondering if i should raise the angle of my shift lever (DRZ 400) so i can get the toe of the boot under the lever? At the moment all i can manage is to catch the end of the lever on the edge of the boot where the upper is stitched to the sole. I know the boots will loosen up a little but can't see the toe area flexing all that much more due then the plastic reinforcement in the area. Has anyone else hit this snag? ideas and anecdotes appreciated. Cheers Graeme.

    Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie......

Hey Guys, Just wondering if there are any people who ride out of Geelong region... Otways, Brisbane Ranges or whatever as i'm looking for a few people to ride with. I'm 45yrs old and just back into bikes after several years away from the sport. My bike is DRZ400e and as i use her as a daily commuter i have dual purpose tyres so i'm not extreme offroad by any stretch. Basically just would like to find a couple of like minded people who enjoy going offroad from time to time. Cheers Graeme.

    DRZ400e Australian Delivery Subframe ID

    Eddie, Thanks for that! Graeme.
  11. Hi Guys, I'm thinking of ordering a Pro Moto Billet Pack Rack for my bike but i have a feeling my bike has a different subframe to the US model. I've linked to a picture i took with the rear fender and seat stripped off, can any of you US "e" and "s" model owners tell me if it resembles your bikes so i can decide which model to order for? Cheers Graeme. http://s102.photobucket.com/albums/m114/pogmahon61/Bike%20Pix/?action=view&current=DSCN3348.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch1

    DRZ Gearing Question.

I've recently bought a 2nd hand DRZ 400e which has 14/50t gearing. Not sure what original is but i got a 14/47t chain and sprockets with the bike also so i'm guessing these are originals? I am not sure if i'm hitting the rev limiter or if the motor is missing at high revs but at around the 138km per hr mark it starts to breakdown although it doesn't sound as if it's revving "that hard". I think i read somewhere that limiter cuts in at 10,500rpm? this sounds pretty high rpms for a single but anyhow my ear tells me it isn't revving anywhere near that hard. Also if i give it a handful of throttle in lower gears it starts to miss noticably and run out of puff prematurely. Based on the gearing i mentioned can anyone tell me if i am getting close to limiter or if there is some other factor causing this behaviour. Cheers Graeme.
  13. i'm posting in this forum as there doesn't seem to be a specific DRZ Forum which is applicable? I've recently bought a 2nd hand DRZ 400e which has 14/50t gearing.
