    Engine Rebuild

I have to ask, what type of insurance covers the engine on a 96 yz250?

    Engine Rebuild

I'd go to your Yamaha dealer, they're estimate will be nice and high. Take the money and do it your self.

Don't mean to be a stick in the mud but your insurance will need an estimate from a reputable repair shop or dealer. Showing them a post from thumpertalk or expecting them to take your word wont work.

The Best And Worst Graphics Companies

They stick everywhere else for me. They would work well for bikes with shrouds over the tank. Unfortunately my yz needs graphics on the tank.

Every application of factory fx on my gas tank has peeled. Its a problem area for most graphics but the factory fx don't last very long. I even vented my tank for two weeks and detail cleaned the surface...no luck.

    DR-Z 400 BUZZ sound

Large bumps have little effect on items that move with resonance ie high rpm vibration. I do not think what you are hearing is your chain tensioner and is more likely a loose bolt. Does your chain slap at idle?

    DR-Z 400 BUZZ sound

Try putting your finger on the gas cap lock when its hapening. Took me forever to figure out the lock was buzzing on mine at high rpm. Those little noises drive me nuts.

Can you read my piston? Pics!

Do some research on piston wash. You want small clean areas on the top of your piston where the transfer ports are. Your piston looks slightly lean.

Elevation drop will cause it to run leaner not richer because air density increases.
  11. I cased a jump this feb and shattered both ankles , tib and fib. I've had two surgeries, external fixators and enough plates and screws to fill ace hardware. I know what your going through, take it slow and do your pt. You only have one chance at recovery, ankles can take a long time to fully recover. Hope you get better soon.

I'm going crazy! Stupid front brake problems...

I've had problems with air being trapped in the upper bend of the line that is higher than the master cylinder. I usually take the master cylinder off the bars and bleed them while holding it higher than the line bend.

    YZ 250 Accident

I think it just blew through the stroke, I don't remember much. I was wearing alpine star tech 8s which they had to cut off, Dang!!! Looking back in hindsight it was a best case scenario. Any other way I have looked at it is the suspension and my knees took a good amount of the impact. If I would have bailed or gone over front neck and back injuries seem more likely. Thanks everyone for your support!!

    YZ 250 Accident

Really wasnt that big of a jump but coming down straight into the landing caused some extreme physics.

    YZ 250 Accident

Here are the photos, the one with the rods was the external fixators. I couldnt wait to get these off!!! Also another something I wanted to share was the benefits I have received from a suplemental hospital income insurance policy I had on myself through state farm. It was very cheap and helps significantly with the finances. I had good health coverage so I am good there!!!
