    RMX 250 Questions

I keep reading the conventional forks are the best of both worlds but I keep finding that the late 90s RM conventional forks are the best thing to get. Trying to confirm whether it is the 125 or 250.

    RMX 250 Questions

Ok....I am looking for a good woods bike but don't want to shell out the $$ for orange EXC model. I have found some RMX 250s available. I am looking at the RMX because I am a bigger guy and I have heard that the KDX is a bit of a small bike. My question is, if you were able to choose would you choose the 93-96 with the USD forks or would you choose the 97 98 with conventional forks? Or for trail riding with these bikes they are about equal? Just looking for some owner or previous owner input. Thanks

    Tag Metals Triple Clamp

Ok, I have a DRZ front end on a DR650 and I have a Tag Metals triple clamp. Does anyone have one of these? Looking for photo or description of how the risers mount on the triple clamp. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Questions about Husky

I would get a new WR as well, but they are $8K plus programmer and exhaust. So not cheap. Since I am looking at leftover 2011s they are significantly less. Which is why I am looking elsewhere. I was not specifically looking at the 500 class bike...I was actually looking at the 450 class. I would really like to have fuel injection. I am fine with carb bikes, but I am looking to try something new. As far as racing goes...I have not raced for a long time, certainly not looking to be competitive just looking to race for fun. I have no brand loyalty, I am just looking to get the most for the money. Which is why I am looking at leftover Husabergs and Huskys. Any other info would be greatly appreciated.

    Questions about Husky

Ok I am a C+ rider at best looking at dabbling in some races...hare scrambles...no mx and for the most part single track riding. I am 6'4" and approx 225. I just sold my 06 Yamaha WR450 yesterday and well it was about the best all around bike I have had. I am looking at the TE bikes....there is a leftover 511 at the dealer. I have not ridden a new Husky only older TE450 and 510....carb models. I was just wondering how a Husky would compare to the WR450F I would appreciated any input you can give me. Can someone run down the pros and cons of both the Berg vs the Husky in similar sized bikes since these are the two brands I am looking at purchasing. Thanks.
  6. Ok I am a C+ rider at best looking at dabbling in some races...hare scrambles...no mx and for the most part single track riding. I am 6'4" and approx 225. I had an 02 FX650...too much bike for me. I just sold my 06 Yamaha WR450 yesterday and well it was about the best all around bike I have had. I am looking at the FE bikes....there are leftover 390 and 570 and looking at a used 450. Ok my thought is that the 390 is too small and will feel under powered with someone my size.....and I believe that the 570 will scare the crap out of me, but since I have not ridden a new Berg I cannot answer any of these questions. I would appreciated any input you can give me. In addition the dealer also has a leftover 11 Husky TE511....should I consider it?? Can someone run down the pros and cons of both the Berg vs the Husky. Thanks.

    Thinking about coming back

Ok....had an 02 FX650....rocketship and was destined to get hurt. Have an 06 WR450 and I love it. Looking at 2010 FE450. Do mostly single track riding but looking at starting to do hare scrambles and other races...not MX. What will I like and what will I not like about the Berg? Benefits to switching to the Berg? I know these are the new Bergs and are completely different from my old FX so I know there is no comparison. Just chime in and let me know what you think and your opinions.

Well I am glad every state around me is getting these, yet every dealer in AZ that I can talk to barely know the bike exists and certainly cannot tell me when they will be getting one. UGGG!!!!!

    What happened to my starter?

Oddly enough, I had same problem, don't forget to check the actual stater button....mine was bad....found out after doing test after test after test even changed the starter solinoid....stupid $12 part.

    2012 wr450

I was in Phoenix this weekend and asked when they would see one...they were like I don't know...maybe end of April. I was like well there is a guy in Boise that is getting his this weekend, they thought I was full of it. I sometimes dislike dealers. BTW.....JEALOUS!!!!

    R6/R1 wheels on a WR450?

Warp9 makes wheels...google them. Good wheels and they are less expensive than the Excel wheels. He was saying get a set of Warp9 sumo wheels and they will bolt right up.

I have an 06...I love it. I love the sound of having FI....I keep going to my dealer and asking different people if they know when they will see a '12....they have no F'ing clue. I might ask around at a couple of Phx dealers this weekend. They have an '11 marked down to $6100. Can't see that I would gain much other than an aluminum frame with an '11. I don't know....I want to hear some real world stuff about the '12 to decide to I do all I want to my '06, get an even better smoking deal on the left over '11 or hang on for a '12. What are you guys thinking about the '12. Is it going to be everything and a bag a chips? I am having that 2 year itch thing I get.
