HELP! cant figure out whats goin on kx250f

Dont mean to be a smart ace and hate to burst your bubble, but i build high performance circle track engines for a living. During assembly your rings should be oiled well as well as the cylinder walls in a nice thin film of oil, as well as a good priming of the oil pump before start up. Like previously stated, upon start-up, the excess oil on the rings and cylinder walls will be quickly burnt up. If properly broken in your rings will seat just fine.

buying a left over 08 next week

Also, wouldn't it shorten the life of the 250 motor alot having a bike guy riding it hard?

buying a left over 08 next week

That was my main thought about the 450 is that it may get me in trouble out on the track faster than i care to think about. Also i have heard people say that a 450 can make you a lazy rider.
  4. Next week i will be buying a left over 2008 yz450f or 250f from my dealer. I havent decided which i want yet. I can get the 250f for 4600 otd and the 450 for 5000. For only 400 dollars difference i would almost just go ahead and get the 450. Im a fast novice rider and weigh 205. I ride a good mix of both mx and woods. Is the 450 a better pick for me? I have been riding 250f's or a while and while they have plenty of power in the woods and such, they leave me looking for more umph on the bug jumps and jumps out of corners. Any advise? Thanks Anthony

finally got some pics of my crf 250

I rode a 250 two smoke before i got my four strokes. The smoker wont buck you off near as fast on a hard landing as a heavier 4t but mainly its all in how your suspension is set up. Nice bike man! Hope you like your smoker
