    XR springs in KDX

about an inch longer than stock spring and spacer

    XR springs in KDX

I understand that stock Honda XR fork springs will in KDX's and are heavier than stock KDX springs. Now,tell me how to install them. The XR springs are a little longer than stock KDX spring and spacer combined. So do I just use the XR spring by itself? There is no way that I will be able to use the stock spacer or any other spacer and get the forks back together.

    KDX front axle @%&! up

I let the boy do some of his own maintance today on his bike, and somehow he got the front axle cross threaded. Luckily he was smart enough to stop instead of trying to force it. Anyone know what size tap I need to clean the hole up?

    weighted 125 sx

Same boat here when I started riding I was on an XR600 and through the years I have lightened up and went smaller on cc's my 200 will do anything on the terrain I mostly ride and doesnt wear me down. We'll see what happens

    weighted 125 sx

My son is slowly taking over my 200 exc which is great that he is stepping up to a bike bike, but now this means I have to find something else. I have been thinking maybe step up to 250exc for myself even though my 200 is great for the single track we ride. I dont see many 200's close to me for sale but see a good amount of 125 sx bikes. How would a 125 with a flywheel weight compare to the 200 in the woods?

    KX 100 rod clearance

Nobody? I figure someone has tore apart one of these,I just need to know if I have too much play in the rod.

    KX 100 rod clearance

Looks like I am going to have to do a top end in the KX,which is no big deal. But after pulling off the cylinder I was looking at the rod and noticed what seemed to me alot of play at the crank. It is not up and down play but side to side,I no it has to have some but this seems excessive. I was able to slide a .0017 feeler guage down between rod and crank. What is acceptable?

    Hard starting KX100

Every thing electrical seems clean and dry no crackes in wiring. I pulled the carb and took the bowl off. First thing I noticed was what looked like a hairy gumming something or other suck to and even up in the pilot jet,not sure what the hell that was,but very well could have been the problem. I pulled jets out and the bike is running on a 122 main and a 55 pilot Main seems a lot lower than other KX jetting I have seen. Any thoughts on jetting we are at 800ft sea level and bike is still running stock exhaust.

    Hard starting KX100

Compression seems good. I need to get a guage and check it. I would say it's new he got the bike early last year and rode it with no issues, although it did have this issue late last year, but I though it may have been the jetting with the colder temps, but today it was 56 deg. It showed a spark but very faint and not everytime we rolled it over. I'm not sure if that was grounding issue or just wasnt there.

    Hard starting KX100

My son has a 2000 that is hard to start at certain times. We got it out today to go ride, bike fired up in about 4 kicks here at the house,we get to our riding spot, bike fires up 3 or 4 kicks and runs fine for maybe an hour till we take a break. So after a 15 min break we get ready, bike will not start kick and kick nothing, put in fresh plug same thing,no start. Finally after a few more kicks it fires up and runs fine. We ride for maybe 20 minutes or so no issues than he stalls and bike will not start kick and kick and kick finally it starts and runs fine. It did this about 4 different times,he says when it is running the bike runs fine,no issues but is just so hard to start at times. Will a CDI have weak or no spark at times....I pulled the plug one of the times it wouldnt start to see if we were getting spark,at first I thought we had none but could see a very faint blue at times. What about a dirty power valve could this be an issue with hard starting?

    The KTM 200 Club

Finally got to ride my new to me 200 exc. I knew I would either love it or hate it. I can't say I love it YET,but I am far from hating. The bike has plenty of power for my single track riding and after messing with the clickers I have the suspension in pretty good shape. My only complaint is front brakes, not sure if they need bled or what, pads are in good shape but i cannot get good braking with hand on throttle. I will need to add a pipe guard and a skid plate soon.

    KX100 piston/cylinder help

I understand(or think I do) that standard bore is 52.5mm. But am seeing larger pistons 53mm,54.5mm. Is the KX100 cylinder boreable? I thought the nikasil cylinders were not boreable.
