    D.I.D. Masterlink question

Thanks guys... I'm not that worried about the tensile strength because I would have been happy with the O-ring chain, I just needed one quick and my buddy had a new X-ring he wanted to sell. Altough, I will probably order the correct one so I can have the correct color (gold), I'm anal like that. LOL Thanks again.

    D.I.D. Masterlink question

I believe it was the VM. A local shop has the DID master, but it is O-ring instead of X-ring
  3. I was putting a DID Xring chain on my bike and found it had a rivet link. I don't have access to the tool before this weekend so I installed a Regina Master link (O-ring) and it wasn't the perfect size...would probably work OK, but I don't want to chance it. A local shop has a DID O-ring master, but not X-ring. On DID's site it looks like the X-ring and the O-ring have the same pin length, I wouldn't think the pin diameter would be different. Does anyone know of the O-ring masterlink will work OK?

Cool, I just sent you a PM

Does anyone have step seats in stock?

Don't you like it? What kind of shape is it in and how much do you want for it? Are they hard to get use to?
  6. My new seat cover ripped and I decided to get an SDG step seat, but NO ONE I can find has them in stock... even an ebay ad said out of stock. Anyone know where I can find one?

    2005 CRF450 Suspension

Although I usually don't pay attention to much MXAction mag says, they seem convinced that the fork springs are too soft for MX and dives going into corners. I had already planned on getting 49's for mine, but I haven't even ridden it yet. You guys are OK with your stock springs?

    Handguards, Who is using what??

Does any of these have their own mounts instead of mounting on the stock perches? I had the Cycra's on my '03 and hated how they mounted on the perches. I want some handguards on my '05 for the early spring moto's.

    RG3 better than stock???

The broken wrist and collar bone was expensive, but not as expensive as the heart attack I had two weeks later:eek: . I'll look into the flexxbars if they are THAT much better, but I'm not too sure about them...I worry about breaking parts on them or something....I don't know anyone who has them, so I am pretty ignorant on the subject of flexxbars

    RG3 better than stock???

hmmm...if they take the edge off hits better than stock I think I will spring for them... I'm coming back from a broken wrist and a shattered collar bone and already had arm pump issues before! I just found it hard to believe that four posts would smooth out the hits more than two rubber posts (stock clamp with applied mounts). The flex bars are just too damn expensive for me to try.

    RG3 better than stock???

I just picked up an 05 and want to use pro tapers... I really like the idea of the RG3 clamps, but since I am going with a standard offset the only benifit would be the four point rubber mounts...will they reduce armpump and fatigue more than stock since stock is rubber mounted also? It seems like they are worth the extra money over the applied mounts that use the stock clamp. Thanks

    CRF450 vs. YZF450...help!!

Well, I actually was hoping to get an opinion from someone that has ridden both of them back to back since I haven't ridden a yamaha since I rode a buddys 426 a few years back. Racing is an expensive hobby and often you hear that all bikes are basically the same so I though if it is as good as the CRF and cheaper with better financing options...then why the hell not? I think I'll probably just go buy a CRF tomorrow. Thanks guys
  14. I race motocross and just was released from my Dr. to comeback (broken bones)...I need another bike and had been racing an '03 CRF. I loved it and felt very comfortable on it and planned on buying an '05, but I am able to get a YZF for about $500 less. The deal sounds attractive (plus better financing options) but I am afraid I will not feel comfortable/competitive on it and will regret it. I do not like change and this decision scares me because I don't want to be on the starting gate feeling like I would have been faster on the Honda. I need to decide because I plan on picking one up tomorrow...I realize opinions here will be biased so I'm posting the same thing on the YZF side! Thanks
