Don't do it-2 reasons: That thing is beat and will cost way more to fix than it's worth-you can probably pick up a running one very cheap if a Mojave is what you are looking for. I have a 2001 that I bought new-and spent way too much on rims/tires/plastic/nerfs etc-what a mistake-don't get me wrong, it runs like a top, but riding with my friends now is no fun-they all smoke me. Everyone has 400s, 450s, Raptors, etc. I want to get a new quad, but should sell this one first-it is in nearly perfect condition, but is nearly worthless in the market today. If you want something for your kid, a Mojave could be a good start, but other than that-forget it.
