  1. I don't belive it is, I am familiar with accelerator pumps on old automotive four barrels, and there is no mechanical pump that sprays fuel into the carb it is all from venturi effect. The carb is the one in the following link http://www.xrsonly.com/content/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=549&category_id=423&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=89 Thanks
  2. I have it running but am struggling with what direction to go. Currently it has the 230 main, and the 17.5 pilot, the bike doesn't seem to run bad, but the air fuel mixture screw is not responding the way it should, it doesn't seem to effect it much, but it seems to run a bit better with the screw 3 or 4 turns out The needle is curreltly on the 4th slot from the top. And the plug comes out black. Also under very light load on decel or light throttle opening the bike seems to search or surge a bit Is it possible I am lean at one end and rich on the other? I think I may be lean on the pilot jet and rich on the main, I trying to get a ball park of about where it should be and then order a new range of jets based off that
  3. I have a 1995 Xr600 with a removed snorkel, the side cover opened up a bit with some stainless mesh, and the baffle removed from the stock muffler. I recently bought a lightly used 41mm Mikuni Flatslide (I think it was from XR's Only), and I am wondering what jetting would be a good starting point. The needle is marked 6FJ41, and I know the jets the carb came with probably wont work the MJ's range from 230 to 250, and the PJ's 17 to 22 Also where should I start with the C-clip on the needle Typical elevation is between 500 and 1000 feet Thanks for the help I appreciate it
