  1. As a proud owner of a 1998 KLR and having traveled on several different cycles throughout the world, I disagree with those who state that the KLR is not a well suited trail bike and can prove that the KLR is well suited for more than dirt roads and slow highways. It is not a motocross bike but not a lame pig eithe,r which is proven by the US Marines. If in doubt please view the KLR650 Marine Video on U-tube. KLR is a tank and I like the old "tank" look. I'll wait for the 2010's to come out. My old KLR should have 80,000 plus miles on it by then!!!!
