F250 Diesel - What Year to Get

Last year for the 7.3 was 03, you had the option of the 7.3 or the 6.0. Basically any year of the 7.3 was a tank, If i had the choice I would stay away from 01-03's though, connecting rods were slightly weaker, there fine if your going to stay stock, Im coming from a diesel performance point of view. The 6 Litre stroke was good, starting with 05 though, electrical problems plagued the first year or so. There not bad motors by any means. 6.4's are hard to work on IMO, NO ROOM, Twin turbo setup is nice, but they have DPF on em now, I dont understand trying to clean a diesel engine up, but thats not important to this topic. Long story short I would get an 05-07 stroke

Never Start Your Bike With Crocs On!!!

Dont feel too bad about your summer bein done, I broke my right tibula and fibula (hairline on the big bone, whichever one that is) and chipped a part of one bone in my ankle. All this happened on June 27, got plate and a handfull of screws put in, and hopfully ill be gettin my cast off on the 3rd of august. Didnt even happen ridin, Me and my buddy flipped a damn lifted golf cart. ***.
  3. x2 Ive put a few truxxx kits on and they are well crafted, and seem to hold up good. The longest one that I know of that has been on has been on for about two years, and its holdin up great. Than put straight pipes on er

    Battery?

    Thanks fellas
  5. 1995 F150, 300 6. I have a problem, well not really a problem, just something ive noticed that ive never noticed before that I wanna head off before it becomes a problem, if indeed it really is a problem. At night, when I have my lights on, heater blastin, and radio on, like i normally do. If i come to a stop at a light for example, my trucks battery volt or amp gauge dips a little and my lights dim slightly. Once I take off, or press the gas enough to make the rpm's increase at all, the guage goes right back to where it was when I was driving. Is this my battery about to die? Alternator goin bad? or am I just worrying about nothing? Thanks

    Got My First Truck

Thats me, basically the same truck, but I scrapped the 5 spoke junkers, threw on some almost A/T's, and outlaw 2's. Shes not too bad except for the body rust, but I dont mind. I have the same engine as you, it has no balls, dont expect anything over 12 average unless you are doing all highway driving. (I can get 17 if I ONLY drive to work which is a 30 mile each way highway trip). Things to watch for- -Front end bearings/bushings/anything, my ball joints are bad, my tie rods are fresh and some other stuff is bad too. I woulnt lift this truck, It will only make stuff wear out faster, (espically on a strait 6) -Front fuel pump is bad, $300 dollar part, ill stick with the back tank, nuff said, -Small valve tap, or rod knock when cold -People told me that they like to push oil pan gaskets alot, so keep an eye on that Thats about all thats wrong with it, its actually the cleanest work model interior ive ever seen cause I spent a day cleanin er. There good trucks dude, just keep up on stuff and it should last you a while. P.S.- They do look BAD ASS lifted though
  9. Okay, Without getting into too much story, one of my freinds is parting his 88' yz125 out, cause the cylinder is cracked, and he doesnt want to buy a new one, hes just gonna get a new kawi. My question is, can you guys tell me what years the big stuff, like forks, carb, and other misc. stuff like that will fit. Im gonna rip the bike down for him and hes gonna put the stuff on ebay. I figure we have a better chance of selling the stuff if it is listed as a few years it will fit, rather than the one year. Thanks Alot,

    I Need Tires?

I have national kommando's on my 95 f150 two wheel drive, and ive never had a problem in the snow, keep in mind im in no where near the conditions your in, but ive been in some somewhat deep stuff for a two wheel drive (LONG BED SINGLE CAB, i.e. no weight in the back) and have gotten out fine. knock on wood cause now that i said that this winter might suck....
  14. Check the straps that hold your tailgate once in a while, i was unloading my bike out of my dads truck (2000 chev. silverado 2wd) and they broke, sending me and my bike to the ground. Somehow i was able to keep my bike upright and on the rubber , and two days later we got the recall notice from chevy about the tailgate straps.

    Powerupgrades for GMC dually

MBRP Exhaust... good sh!t, alot of my diesel friends with d max (if that what you have) use bully dog triple dog, or edge. bigger or even twin turbo, many options, but it depends on what engine you have, everything ive said is assuming you have a diesel
