  1. Supercross

So where was Erin? She did the 250 moto on the web, but neither 450. Did she have a falling out with NBC?
  2. I put one on my 450. It really helps at the end of a race when I'm tired and have poor throttle control.
  3. Supercross

That part was great, but Reed blew it with the "best teammate" comment at the end of the interview. If anything at all happens this week involving Alessi, he's screwed. Mike can't even afford to race for the win for fear of being accused of team tactics now.
  4. Supercross

I'm rooting for Dungey, but expect Purcel to win.
  5. I've got a YZ250 for the track, and it's great fun. But it doesn't go off-road with me. Off road, I'd choose the KTM 300 XCW, or the 400 XCW might be even better. If I split my time 50/50 with one bike, I'd look at a KTM 450 XC.
  6. There's no "n" in damper
  7. One of those throttle cams works wonder softening the response. Really helps in the tight stuff.
  8. I know this is a Yamaha 2-stroke forum, but I ride a YZ250, a KLX450R, and a '81 RM250. I just sold a KTM450. All have their place, and I love them all. For trail riding and occasional races, you can't beat the KTM 450. By the way, there's no such thing as too many motorcycles. Keith
  9. If parts are more available, I'd go with the WR.
  10. No decompression lever. Thats a hot start lever, lets additional air into the carb.
  11. The Twin air for the KLX works well. Don't get the KX version, it's too big. I like the stock filter, but Kawasaki's really proud of it, I can't justify the money for another stock version.
  12. Took me 6 weeks to get my power back kit. Pretty price too. Dylan kept promising to make good, never delivered. I figured I was one of the first kits, and heard good things form others here, so stopped bad mouthing them. I decided I'd never deal with them again, but wasn't going to hurt their reputation. Looks like they're at it again though. I'm not even using their jetting. Waste of a lot of money in my opinion, an expensive lesson.
  13. Haven't seen a Teraflex since '82. Really liked it back then. Generally prefer the Maxxis Desert IT, Dunlop 739 Desert is 2nd. Cn you tell I race desert? Just picked up a few plain Dunlop 739's at Cycle gear for $35 ea. Not sure if the sale is still on, worth checking though. Good tire for the price.
