Tvind Teachers Grou... back in the news: http://www.latimes.com/local/california/la-me-planetaid-bins-20150814-story.html Founded in 1997, Planet Aid has been linked by numerous media outlets in the United States and abroad to a Danish fugitive, Mogens Amdi Petersen, 76, who is wanted in Denmark on tax-evasion and embezzlement charges. Danish prosecutors accused him more than a decade ago of embezzling millions of dollars from the Tvind organization, also known as the Tvind Teachers Group, established in the early 1970s as an alternative school system for troubled youths in Denmark. Petersen, whose detractors accuse him of fronting a secular cult, was eventually acquitted, but fled the country when prosecutors said they would appeal the verdict. Multiple news outlets have published reports linking Tvind to Planet Aid, which denies significant ties. "There is no organizational or financial connection between Planet Aid and Tvind," it said in a statement.

    KTM 450 with mysterious condition...

Pilot is clogged, yet again. It's definitely coming from upstairs, but I have no idea where. clean tank, clean carb

    KTM 450 with mysterious condition...

I agree, so I dumped the bowl, bought new gas and put it in a different tank... same thing. It continues...
  4. I bought this bike 3 years ago with 40 hours on it. It now has 150 hours and has been flawlessly reliable. I adjusted the valves 20 hours ago, change oil every 10 hours and am overall a meticulous mechanic. I rode it a few weeks ago at mammoth over the course of a 4 day weekend and it ran great, even at high elevations and on long, sandy, nasty climbs (had one overheating experience but nothing I'd consider major). return to the beach. washed it... got a little water in the carb boot which I removed before riding. installed pro moto kickstand and sumo wheels. before my next ride, I added 89 oct fuel I bought in bishop. fires right up but backfiring a bit (my bike has rarely backfired in the since I've owned it). I turned the choke off and wick the throttle, and it bogs tremendously, then dies. I restart and same thing... it bogs even if I accelerate slowly. then I try accelerating extremely slowly and I can get the rpms up a bit, but it sounds terrible. I turn the choke back on and it sounds fine. no bog, quick revs... makes me think it's lean w/out the choke. after a couple min of messing around w/it, it cleans up and I chalk it up to water in the fuel and go ride 70 miles of malibu w/supermoto wheels on it. runs flawlessly. about a mile from home, it starts bogging again... I'm thinking my fuel filter or petcock is clogged. I clean the filter (small crap but not much) and switch tanks. restart... same thing. fine on choke and like a harley w/out... bogs and dies. I just pulled apart the FCR and cleaned all the jets, float bowl.... everything. now it's doing the same thing, running like it's got a clogged pilot.

    how is baja holding up...

Just got back from a night at El Coyote. Rode from Rancho Ojai / Tecate and many trails are in incredible shape. No weather / rainfall related problems at all. The "road" from Mike's to El Coyote was quite a bit of fun on Sunday night... we have the feeling were the first to come though after the big storm.

  9. Those trophies are the best I've ever seen presented at a motorsports event. Truly epic. I'd like to see pics of the riders with the trophies.

Wow... that bike is clean. Good on you. I agree with the suspension service. Then... ride it. Beautiful bike.

Piutes...thinking of going Tues the 26th...

Dust_Devil has a phone???? If so, I don't think he knows how to use it. I remember you coming by, slowxr. We were impressed you were riding a BRP through there. Yes, that was a fun little section we made: just trying to keep people from riding down the creekbed.

Piutes...thinking of going Tues the 26th...

slowxr... I think I met you. Are you Robert from Playa Del Rey? I was working on the new trail as well... I look like david knight and ride like taddy blazusiak.... on the ktm 250xc.

Arnold signs it! No more custom pipes...

The question is, will they be able to ENFORCE the noise component? I'm am TIRED of LOUD bikes all over town, waking me up, and giving motorcyclists a bad name in general. I ride off road ONCE A WEEK and was a DAILY COMMUTER for YEARS, and STILL struggled with the noise of some bikes. If people would STFU already with their pipes, the bureaucrats would have no where to go with this. Regarding emissions... well, yeah, we knew the cagers would want us to abide soon enough. (and I know I'm not going to make any friends on this messageboard with this stance). You aren't Christophe Pourcel on a KX250F... you don't need to be loud to be fast.... you're slow, overpowered and overweight, so KEEP IT DOWN.

  15. I have an 05 450 MXC w/a full DC system, front HID, euro tail light / brake switch. Now need to add a horn and turn signals (in order to get my Statement of Facts signed off). Does anyone have simple horn & turn signal kits? No elaborate harnesses or crazy multi-use switches, just cheap and minimalist as they will be used very little.
