    JNS Engineering Skid Plates

Super Heavy Duty! Bolts on in minutes with no stupid clamps. I used the JNS heavy duty mounts as well. Nice hardware too.

    xr650r with starter motor

I think Baja Designs used to sell an electric starter set up for the XR60R but that's the only one I've ever heard of. The 650R really isn't a hard bike to start when uncorked and jetted correctly and the proper technique is applied.

    E Fork Question

    Thanks

    E Fork Question

Do all years of E models have cartridge forks? After reading up here on TT it seems that some of the early S models did not but I haven't been able to find anything definite on the early E models.

Four Peaks snow run Feb 20th 2009

Nice pics Beemerwolf! My bro rides his quad in that area pretty often. I Went fishing at Roosevelt Lake a couple of weeks ago, man it was full!! dwalh19: When I had my XR650R, XR600R and even my XR400R and had to clear a flooded engine I would turn off the fuel petcock, hold the throttle wide open, pull in the compression release lever and kick it over a few times. Then just follow your normal starting routine and it should start right up. If your bike is uncorked and properly jetted it'll be pretty easy to start (world of difference over stock). Hope this helps.

How do you wash your WR

I'm a follower of the Simple Green and gentle hose pressure - that is, more scrubbing with a soft bristle brush. I use a toothbrush on the chain. It takes a bit longer but blasting high pressure water water into your seals and chain ain't good. I dry with compressed air and I apply WD40 to the chain and pivot points afterward. I like to follow with Maxima SC-1 to polish - and it smells like cherry!!
