    Fair price for 2002?

I just bought my 2001 DRZ400s on Monday for 2,200. It had 5,600 miles on it. The guy had made it a strictly dirt bike, stripped all the blinkers and tail lights off and kept it black tagged though so I can still go and get it street legal when I need to. He was asking 2,500 but I knew he would deal a little on the price. Sounds like a good deal to me, but like others have said, offer him 2,400 - 2,500 and spend the rest on mods. If you are worried about someone else coming in behind you and offer the full price, go ahead and give him 2,800 still not a bad deal.

How hard did you work to get your DRZ?

It was a graduation present to myself for finally getting my Bachelor's. I had to work all through college and I was lucky enough to get a job working for the government too, so really, you guys helped me get my bike Thanks a million!

What are the Jobs of us fellow DRZ owners?

No I didn't, but I wish I would have. Some people I work with said that they went and had a blast. Maybe next year!

I was actually surprised as to how many computer geeks there are riding DRZ's just like me. I am a Oracle Software Developer. I won't say who I work for, but you guys pay my salary. Thanks for the new bike!
  5. Kind of off subject, but I just upgraded from a 1993 DR350. I always see people on here complaining of the weight and lack of power on the DRZ400, and let me tell you, coming from what I did they are worlds apart. The DR350 has a ton of low-end torque, but the DRZ400 has the power now matter what gear I am in. My DRZ is an 01 DRZ400S and with a full Yoshi exhaust, Moose Jet Kit, and is set up for dirt with all of the blinkers and what not stipped off until gas gets to $6.00/gallon. Before I bought this bike I was looking at the 450s, KTM, Suzi, and Honda, and what always led me back to the DRZ was the reliability and little maintenance. Talks for having so much information on here that is readily accessible, you guys rock!

    Problems with 05 RMZ 450

Hey everyone, I am looking at an 05 450 with very low hours on it, and am wondering if there has been any major problems with the 05s? Thanks in advance!

What are the major differences of the 450x?

Wow, well ok then. That is exactly what I was looking for, thank you Ivan. Curly, you weren't kidding!

    Sorry no Ivan here.
  9. I am looking to buy a 450x but I was wondering what the differences are from the CRF450 or the RM-Z450 other than the obvious headlight and electric start. My buddy said that the 450x has a heavier flywheel that makes it harder to stall in trails and tight corners, which would be nice. What else makes the 450x so great? I am trying to get back into riding after taking a few years off and the DR starting sequence is getting old. I love the bike, but it is time to upgrade. Thanks for any help or suggestions.
