    RMZ450 engine in DRZ frame?

Technically the e frame is different no steering lock on frame plus I'm sure there is extra lugs to bolt the plastic tank on where as the metal tank slips on to rubber I might be wrong but not about steering lock

    FMF exhaust issues

If it is a titanium header this is perfectly normal as the titanium header is a lot thinner than standard so will heat up more just Google dirt bike glowing header I have the same on my rmx450z and was concerned until I googled it and asked a few people nothing to worry about just dont let it sitting on idle for too long. Where about in the UK are you

Any way to paint a clear oversized tank?

What a lot of people dont realise is that plastic tanks actually breathe and expand with temperature that's why when you paint them. over time it will bubble and peel off best thing to do is to get one with the colour you are happy with and sell your one or try to swap with someone

    HELP VIN Number troubles..

I think you need to do your research before commenting the dealers might stamp them but the majority of manufacturers DONT why would you buy a frame from a dealer when you can buy direct from a manufacturer. which I know for a fact dont stamp them as you are buying a chassis not a title

    HELP VIN Number troubles..

If you was to buy a new frame from manufacture or car body shell / chassis they come with no numbers stamped on them all new chassis come with no numbers

    HELP VIN Number troubles..

Put it this way when you buy a vehicle it is your property so you can do what you like with your property no matter what anyone says if I was to buy a brand new Aston Martin take it home and remove the chassis number there is nothing stopping me as it is my property and once i have purchased it i can do what i wish . that saying why don't you leave the chassis number on the frame and stamp your one next to it just put a line through the middle of it with a dremel so if you do get any problems from the police you can explain that it has had a frame change and they can check both sets of numbers and you can be on your way that's what people used to do when re shelling a car

    Engine transplant

Does anyone know what engine will fit in a 2012 rmz 450 with minimum effort ie: drz and so on as I have a rolling chassis that needs a engine the cost of the rmz 450engine is close to buying a complete bike which will defeat the object any suggestions will help or has anyone transplanted a different engine into one of these chassis

    i question the 3x3 cutout

Sorry didn't know it went on your post Erm ktm 690 injection vs drz 400 carb its obvious a 690cc will be putting out more power than a 400cc nothing to do with 3x3 mod bigger cc = more power simples
